How to participate in the project

We appeal to Tolkien-fans and our colleagues-filmmakers.

We greatly need your support. Only with your help we are able to finish this huge project. Our movie is non-profit. We work for the idea. If you appreciate this idea, please, help us! There are different ways for it.

You can join our crew, distantly helping our CG-team, for instance. In this case send a letter to this e-mail for the details - art@shirefilm.com. We need CG-specialists, painters and designers.

We are not a tribute to Peter Jackson's style, we appreciate and love Professor and his art and try to understand only his own vision of Middle-Earth.

We found out an interesting fact, that PJ also said about this: 'We made a promise to ourselves at the beginning of the process that we weren't going to put any of our own politics, our own messages or our own themes into these movies. What we were trying to do was to analyze what was important to Tolkien and to try to honor that. In a way, we were trying to make these films for him, not for ourselves.'

We are sure that a good movie can be based not on the commercial relationships but on love, on passion of participants and volunteers to their work and to Professor Tolkien. But under "commercial relationships" we understand that nobody recieves money for his work (we have a system of awards instead of it). But of course we need props, costumes, materials for miniatures and "bigatures", and so on. So we greatly need your contributions. We will be happy to recieve every dollar or euro! Even the smalliest contribution will be helpful. You can give us money with the help of the so-called croudfunding sites (the links will be published soon).
